Kaua'i people say 'a'ole loa!   NO MEANS NO!
Over 600 citizens of Kaua'i peacefully blockaded Nawiliwili Harbor for over three hours.
The protest was nonviolent, except for several reckless actions by the U.S. Coast Guard,
Hawaii Superferry, and the police.

Thursday, August 23
Superferry defies Hawai'i Supreme Court
In unanimous decision, the five justices of the Hawai'i Supreme Court ruled that the state
Department of Transportation "erred in law" when it exempted improvements to island
harbors for the Hawaii Superferry from environmental review.
In brazen disregard for the rule of law, state officials and Hawaii Superferry Inc. have
responded to the court by rushing to begin operation illegally with special $5 fares.

will give a presentation at Small Town Coffee Company.
